King Fish Go crazy this week in Melbourne with Matt Cini
Well hello there Reel Time Customers and Friends, what a week, it was one I’ll never forget with some very serious King Fish Fishing Charters and Captures in the Rip and some very hard days fishing offshore trying new tactics and areas and then having some King Fish action that will stay with me for a long time.
With most kings being caught over a Meter in length this puts us in a pretty great position in comparison to other states with some serious numbers also, when you think about it where can you go and almost be certain to catch a Meter King and or 10 of them in Melbourne let alone anywhere along the east coast? It’s not bad is it 
I have to say this has been a stepping stone for Matt Cini this week and just another branch to his already outstanding effort and knowledge in the way he can establish just what bait and what area they will show up next.
This is one of the biggest secrets to understanding king Fish is what where and how especially also on the day, as they can and will change their tactics and have you thinking every time.
What a week and what a fishery.
The Snapper has been small most of the time with the off sprinkling of some cracking fish to 6 kg at times but it seems that it’s pinky City atm and will remain that way until it cools down a little however, the snapper have been hot and cold so you really have to go out there with the expectation of yes I will get a feed and sure enough when you least expect it a bag out of good fish will just happen.
Failing that the small to medium size guys are very lovely on the table and we have had more than enough of them to go around.
Whiting and Squid are Doing ok with as usual some big Blue Spot Flathead around also providing smiles when brought into the boat as a Whiting bycatch, most certainly the bags of whiting are not yet in the 100s but we are getting a great little feed when we get out certainly enough to keep people happy.
