Melbourne Fishing Charters, species of all sorts in Port Phillip Bay
Hi, there all Reel Time Customers and Friends, Well it’s been such a mixture of fishing in Melbourne this last few weeks on our Reel Time fishing charters, King Fish, Snapper, Whiting, Salmon, Squid, Gummy Sharks and the Finicky Bluefin Tuna east of the RIP in Melbourne’s the Bass Strait, would you even believe that the fishing in Melbourne could be so good ?
Both Snapper and Whiting Charters have been holding there own with some outstanding Squid Fishing happening on most of the weed patches in southern Port Phillip Bay, Whiting are not in huge numbers but are great size and along with them some great Blue spot Flathead as a bonus, Snapper is one day just pan size and with odd day blowing us away with very good fish up to 5 kgs.
Port Phillip Bay King Fish had a bit of a quiet spell the last week with some dirty water witch know looks to be clearing allowing things to really heat up again, in our travels looking for the clear clean water we had some very exciting times with giant schools of Southern Bluefin Tuna east of the Rip in the Bass Strait, Making things interesting for a few days with some smaller Kings mixed in with them, they are most definitely there getting them to eat is the hard part if anyone is keen to chase them it’s a matter of perhaps some experienced stick bait lads that can really annoy them until they get angry and feed as they are great size and when hooked will provide a very exciting fight!
