Matt Cini has been extremely busy, taking Melbourne's fisherman out fishing in their own boats, in locations such hastings, safety beach, Carrum, Patterson lakes, Rhyl, and Corinella to name a few, Well hi there Reel Time Fishing Charter customers and friends, hope you have been well, here is a quick rundown of the last few weeks with all things Port Phillip Bay & Westernport Bay Snapper Fishing in Melbourne.
with some very amazing success and plenty, of snappers catches in there boats, along with teaching them a thing or to about a thing or 2.
This real snapper season is about 4 weeks late and with that said its about to go BANG, the last few days have been incredible with huge schools entering both Port Phillip Bay and Westernport Bay as the water temp reaches 17 degrees.
The start to this snapper season we experienced very calm weather which is great for the boating and getting on the water, with that said continuous light north winds and the much-hated easterlies, it was hard to get the early season snapper to feed regularly, as the larger models are affected by the water temperature and the barometer greatly.
The lack of rain wind decreases the rate that the water temperature in Port Phillip Bay heats up, along with cold ocean currents, this is why we have seen huge numbers of fish on our Furuno sounders and not always caught them, however on November the first the water hit that magical 17 and sure enough the fish are now cooperating in a big way, it is now time to book your fishing charter if you want a more guaranteed chance at seeing snapper on a daily basis in Port Phillip Bay.
Our snapper fishing charters will run till April, so get your friends together and come to try your luck fishing in Melbourne with Matt Cini and the team, we look forward to seeing you on the water soon.
